As I roamed down the stunning Pacific Coastal Highway, awed at the beautiful sunset over Yosemite Valley, drank beyond my capacity in a small Italian restaurant in Calistoga, and flew from coast to coast across the vast land of America, I couldn't agree more with what the travel writer Pico Iyer put it:"Home is less to do with a piece of soil than with a piece of soul".
Yes, home is where I feel freest to be who I am. It is often when I'm on the road, I encounter and embrace the most touching moments of home return and find my sense of belonging.
