Before I left for Hokkaido in December, I bought the Hokkaido Rail Pass in Beijing so that I could travel by train as much as I needed on very economic terms. Punctual, clean and quiet, trains in Japan is a great way to travel with, especially when the main destinations are cities. This photo was taken inside the Hakodate train station.
