Lake Titicaca, on the border of Peru and Bolivia, is a lake at high altitude (3810m) noted for the Uros inhabited by pre-Inca, Quachua speaking cultures. These are "floating island" made of reeds. The vibrant colours of these golden islands, brightly dressed people and deep blue water reward visitors with an exotic visual feast in the afternoon sun.
